1. 19/01/2016: Ruling on the bail application of the 1st Defendant. Bail was granted to the 1st Defendant in the sum of N400,000,000 (Four Hundred Million Naira only), with two sureties, each in the sum of N200,000,000 (Two Hundred Million Naira only). Bail has since been perfected and the 1st Defendant has since been attending proceedings from home. 2. 27/01/2016: Ruling on application to vary item 2 in the order of 19/01/2016. Bail Condition varied; the two sureties shall be owners of landed properties in any district of the FCT. 3. 09/03/2016: Ruling on no case submission. Court held that the Defendant had a case to answer. 4. 25/05/2018: Ruling on the motion to vary the bail conditions of the 1st Defendant; to release his international passport, inorder to enable him travel to the UK for medical treatment. Motion dismissed. 5. 27/10/2016: Ruling on motion to substitute one of the sureties to the 1st Defendant. Motion granted. 6. 23/02/2017: (1) Ruling on the motion to vary the bail conditions of the 1st Defendant; to release his international passport, inorder to enable him travel to the UK for medical treatment. Motion dismissed as an abuse of court process. (2) Motion to execute a subpoena directing the DSS to produce Col. Mohammed Sambo Dasuki (Rtd) was dismissed. 7. 19/06/2017: Motion to adjourn trial pending the ruling of the Supreme Court on the appeal of the 1st Defendant was dismissed. 8. 25/10/2017: Motion to set aside the issuance and service of subpoena ad testificandum compelling Col. Mohammed Sambo Dasuki (Rtd) to give evidence in the matter OR an order to suspend execution and further execution of the subpoena compelling Col. Mohammed Sambo Dasuki (Rtd) to testify was struck out as incompetent. 9. 01/11/2017: BENCH RULING – The first Defendant shall call Dasuki to give evidence in the matter in line with the decision of the Court of Appeal in METUH vs FRN NWLR Pt 1575. 10. 25/01/2018: Leave granted to the 1st Defendant to file a list of additional witnesses and to call further evidence. 11. 19/04/2018: Motion to vary the bail conditions of the 1st Defendant; to release his international passport, inorder to enable him travel to the UK for medical treatment was struck out. 12. 23/05/2018: BENCH RULING – The General Manager of Channels Television and Maupe Ogun-Yusuf shall appear before the court on 25/03/2018 to show cause why an order of court should not be made to compel them to produce and submit the unedited video recording (master tape) of Channels TV Sunrise Daily programme aired on 22/05/2018 where it is alleged that some prejudicial statements were made concerning the ongoing trial.
